Brian Rogers

Associate Director, Mathematics

Prior to joining the Network, Brian taught mathematics for four years at the Brighter Choice Charter Middle School for Boys, teach math in grades five and six. There, Brian was made Math Team Leader with such duties as mentoring new teachers, providing support to colleagues in adapting lessons to Common Core State Standards, and aligning curriculum for consistency and logical progression across the department. He was also deeply involved with extracurricular activities at Brighter Choice, chairing the school’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, and founding and serving as moderator and teacher of the Drama Club. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purchase Collage at the State University of New York, where he majored in Mathematics, as well as serving two terms as President of the Student Body. He also earned a Master of Arts in Childhood Education from The Sage Colleges and holds a certification to teach elementary education, grades one through six in New York State. Outside of work, Brian’s family supports the Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and efforts to rejuvenate the South End of Albany. He enjoys spending time with his wife Nikki and two sons Gavin and Jaxon.
